She recently ran her first cross-country mile race in 8:28 and is looking forward to joining her school cross-country team when she reaches 5th grade. Younger brother Andy, 4 years old likes the 400 meter run. His best time was 2:10 last summer. Both take part inthe 100 and 200 meter dashes too. Riis Park races are a perfect low key starting point for children interested in learning about running. |
