Obituary from Chicago Tribune
Thomas A. Victorine, 53, born Dec. 14, 1955, at rest Aug. 9, 2009, lifetime resident of Chicago. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes in 2006 and Anthony in 1955, and brother Bob in 1981. He is survived by his sister Lucille (Victorine) Hanson of Madison, WI; nieces Dorothy, Elizabeth, Janelle and Tracy; nephews Ed, Mike, John and George. He also had many grand-nieces and nephews. Graduated Loyola Academy in 1973 and attended Loyola University. Tom had a great love for the city of Chicago, appreciation for its rich history, as well as Literature, Art, and Classical Music. Tom found peace and comfort at Devil's Lake in Wisconsin when visiting with his Madison relatives. Wherever he was, he enjoyed Starbuck's Coffee and reading the New York Times. He was a member of a local track club and up until the end of his life believed he may someday run again. He was committed to his health and running. Tom was a private person but loved his family as they dearly loved him. Tom died after a courageous six month battle with cancer. Tom was so dedicated to the welfare of his mother by taking care of her that we know his parents called him home where he is now at peace. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
